This amazing visionary Glen Proebstel may not need any introductions to those loyal readers of the Inside Out Magazine in Australia, or for those of us that have caught glimpses of editorial work in the UK or US. However if you have not come across Glen, let us tell you he is one super talented being! Glen has mainly freelanced as a stylist since 2006, was the Style Director for the Inside Out Magazine till recently, and has worked for some major advertising clients as well as global magazines. Glen has contributed to so many beautiful images gracing many glossy pages. We highlight just a few of his gorgeous projects. I have to say it was so difficult to chose which images to show. Below is a gallery of images from his 'Collecting & Foraging' project displayed on his website. Flick through the gallery and be moved by his vision. Both Glen & photographer Sharyn Cairns's work truly takes my breath away.
Glen has a really amazing eye and is able to bring so many different elements together and visually make them work so well. I have always believed that a great image 'is worth a thousand words'. it isn't as easy as some may think to put it all together and connect with the audience in not just a visual way, to also connect in an emotional way is so powerful. Glen certainly makes this happen.
Glen is quite well known for his warm and moody sets, below is quite the contrast highlighting a gorgeous collection of objects in a much lighter and crisp setting, photographed by the brilliant Anson Smart. Seriously I think 'Mr Proebstel' can do it all!! Based now in New York, he has been working on campaigns for West Elm, Marks and Spencer, Aura and many more commercial clients. I urge you check out his website and keep a look out for his work next time you are flicking through those glossy pages.
