Today we are featuring Walnuts Farm, a property in an idyllic setting, that has proved a popular backdrop for many photo-shoots ranging from lifestyle features (Country Living magazine) to high fashion (Vogue & Net-a-Porter) to name a few.
The family who lives here has taken it from a rundown farmhouse with not much garden to speak of to a thriving kitchen garden and rustic retreat in less than ten years. Much in demand as a perfect canvas for many photo-shoots, life here is now also documented in a monthly feature in Country Living Magazine (UK).
William Yeoward (fabric house) shot a feature here in the Library - seen above in it's un-adorned form, and below as it is styled for the shoot.
Walnuts Farm is in demand almost more for the stunning surroundings than the interiors, and with images like this to work with, it is not hard to see why. The family have worked hard to create practical kitchen gardens that enable them to be almost self-sufficient, but at the same time, are equally aesthetically appealing!
Perhaps one of the reasons that Walnuts Farm is so successful as a photo-shoot location, is that the family are super-professional about the service they provide. For example in addition to the natural beauty of the house and garden, they also provide rustic props to help style the shoots as well as being a resource for practical catering and accommodation needs for the crews! The owners also now run day courses in how to run a successful location house business.
Walnuts Farm is successful because it taps into a nostalgia for a rural idyll that most of us are not able to obtain. This is certainly an aspiration that sells - as evident from the range of both lifestyle and fashion brands that have used this amazing property!
Do you think your home could be an untapped resource for photo-shoot locations? Maybe we can help?
