Each Tree house has been architecturally designed and guests have the choice of 6 absolutely unique tree houses, all about 4 - 6 metres above ground, surrounded by pine trees and with spectacular views of the Lule River.

The founders of Treehotel, Kent and Britta, were inspired by a movie "The Tree Lover" filmed in Harads, where urban men rediscover their roots through the process of building a treehouse together - at the same time the film raises philosophical questions on the tree's importance to people both historically and culturally.
